Home Improvement Ideas to Start this Spring

Jan 10, 2022, 23:19 PM

Trends at home and work have altered how we use our homes

For every homeowner’s wish list the OKC Home + Garden Show is here to help! Since the recent increase in home buying and working-from-home, we know many Oklahomans have a whole new set of wants and needs in their spaces. This year’s vendors are prepared to meet Oklahomans’ evolving needs through expert advice, quality products and diverse services to revitalize multi-use living spaces, gardens and patios.

After the past couple years of COVID-19 precautions, our relationship with our homes is forever changed. As our habits have adapted, our home spaces should, too. This year the OKC Home + Garden Show has paid extra attention to those learning new things and honing new skills.

Between early 2020 and now, Oklahomans took up hobbies we had never tried before, and for so many, these passions make new demands of our home spaces. Bakers are eyeing outdoor cooking solutions. Gardeners are expanding from flower beds to full-blown, backyard farms.  Crafters, builders and DIYers are working through long lists of renovations.

Taking on challenges and learning new things is especially inspiring as we enter 2022. By undertaking home improvement projects, we increase our skills while expanding our knowledge, confidence and joy. Looking to the spring, the OKC Home + Garden Show can help you reach your goals.

The show will be open Friday, 12 to 8 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bennett Event Center. Admission for adults is $12 at the box office or $10 when purchased online at oklahomacityhomeshow.com. And remember, the show will welcome hundreds of local businesses including horticulturists, designers and renovation experts for any and all projects. Some ticket discounts are available, so visit oklahomacityhomeshow.com to learn more!
